Tehran, YJC. Tehran, Amir Kabir, and Ferdowsi are Iran’s top universities in attracting international students.

Director General of International Students’ Affairs of Students’ Organization Samad Haj Jabbari in interview with Mehr news agency said that most of the country’s international students study at Tehran, Amir Kabir, and Ferdowsi universities.

Situations were previously so that most of our international students came from Afghanistan, he said, adding "Now, due to regional situations and an agreement signed with the Iraqi government, we get most of our international students from Iraq and Syria.”

Haj Jabbari added "A workgroup tasked with the attraction and admitting these students convenes every month, but the admittance is scheduled so that it does not interfere with university semesters.”
