Tuesday, 7 December 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Foreign Minister announced the country’s readiness to host the leaders of Astana Summit next year.
In a meeting with his Syrian counterpart Faisal Mekdad, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian announced the country’s readiness to host the leaders of Astana Summit next year.
Amir Abdollahian announced Iran's willingnes to host leaders of Astana Summit in Thran in 2022 and said the summit is the only effective current structure for resolving problems imposed on Syria.
He went on to say “focusing on the expansion of trade and economic relations between the two countries is necessary.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, he criticized the Zionist regime’s aggression against Syria, and said “The military presence of foreign forces without permission of Syrian government is the reason for the insecurity in the region.”
For his part, Syrian foreign minister appreciated support of Iran for Syrian government and people and said “The meeting between presidents of Iran and Syria was a turning point in strengthening bilateral relations.”
