Iranian FM Rejects Reports of 90%-Degree Enrichment of UraniumIn his phone talks with EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian rejected the report which claimed that Iran is enriching uranium to the level of 90%.

“I told Mr. Borrel that the report of 90% uranium enrichment in Iran is a sheer lie,” Iranian foreing minister said, while noting that “Iran is serious about reaching a good deal which must be comprehensive in a way that people feel its results in a tangible way.”

He went on to add that “The drafts presented by Iranian team was fully in line with JCPOA, there is nothing in the documents beyond the agreement,” and highlighted the fact that other parties should have come to the negotiations with clear proposals and answers including the removal of sanctions, and noted “only in this case a good agreement would is achievable. We will follow the path of diplomacy and talks in Vienna within the framework of the logic of negotiation and understanding.”

Last week, the seventh round of JCPOA talks was held in Vienna with the presence of Ali Bagheri Kani as Iranian top negotiator.

After that, Iran's lead negotiator announced that in detailed draft documents given to signatories of the nuclear deal, Iran explicitly said that it wants the complete removal of all unilateral and cruel US sanctions.

Prior to that, last Monday and while speaking to reporters after Vienna talks, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani, said the previous rounds of Vienna talks were only a “draft”.

Also, in a separate remark, Iranian Foreign Minister said that any agreement achieved in Vienna talks should guarantee implementation of the other sides’ undertakings based on the nuclear deal.
