US State Department spokesman Ned Price reacted to the UAE national security adviser's visit to Tehran on Monday evening.
Speaking at a State Department news conference, he said:
We support diplomatic moves that will reduce tensions.
Price went on to say:
We believe in diplomacy, we believe in dialogue. We believe in diplomacy and dialogue aimed at reducing tensions.
Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed, the UAE national security adviser, traveled to Tehran on Monday.
During this trip, he met with "Ali Shamkhani", Iran's national security adviser, and "Seyed Ebrahim Raisi", the president of Iran.
The US State Department spokesman continued his press conference by ignoring the crimes of the Saudis in attacking the Yemeni people:
We are on the side of the Saudis, and this country is under terrorist attacks by the Houthis.
Ned Price claimed:
The Houthis are preventing a diplomatic solution from advancing in Yemen.
