Tuesday, 7 December 2021 (YJC)_ In an interview with a Russian media outlet, the Iranian foreign minister said that there was no way for the United States to return to the JCPOA without lifting sanctions.
In an interview with a Russian media outlet, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said Tehran was ready for fruitful talks to lift sanctions.
In an interview with the Kommersant newspaper, the head of Iran's diplomatic service said that Iran has good intentions and is ready for successful talks. Amir-Abdollahian clarified:
Despite the fact that the West is not fulfilling its obligations, Iran is still ready for fruitful talks to reach a good agreement in order to show goodwill and with the aim of lifting unilateral and illegal sanctions. Iran is in good faith and ready for successful talks.
The senior Iranian diplomat stated:
The situation with Iran's nuclear program is due to the fact that the United States has not given up any attempt to destroy JCPOA.
He clarified:
Iran, on the other hand, has made every effort to keep the agreement alive.
Amir-Abdollahian added:
Over the past six rounds, it has become clear to Iran that the United States still does not understand that there is no way for it to return to the JCPOA without lifting the sanctions imposed on the Iranian people after withdrawing from the agreement.
