Monday, 6 December 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman criticized France for huge arms sales to the Persian Gulf Arab states.
While criticizing France for huge arms sales to the Persian Gulf Arab states, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said Paris should act more responsibly in the region.
In a press conference in Tehran, Khatibzadeh told the reporters “What we expect from countries like France is to act more responsibly. The root of the unrest and wars in the region is the sale of billions of dollars of advanced weapons by the European countries, including France, to the Persian Gulf Arab states. The destructive role of countries like France should not be ignored.”
He went on to add that “From now on, such countries should remember that Iran does not talk about its security with anyone, we will complete our defense shield for the sake of people and our hope is that one day these countries will stop selling weapons.”
On Friday, France announced multibillion-euro deals to sell fighter planes and combat helicopters to the UAE.
