Monday, 6 December 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian President held a meeting on Monday with the National Security Advisor of the United Arab Emirates.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi held a meeting on Monday with the National Security Advisor of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
At the official invitation of Iran's Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan travelled to Tehran on Monday.
Prior to his meeting with Iranian President, UAE national security advisor met with Shamkhani.
During that meeting, Shamkhani stressed that stability and security cannot be achieved unless through continuous dialogue and cooperation between the regional countries.
For his part, UAE national security advisor described Iran, as a large and powerful country in the region.
Prior to his trip to Iran, former Emirati minister of state for foreign affairs Anwar Gargash announced that the UAE “has taken steps to de-escalate tensions [with Iran] as we have no interest in a confrontation.”
