Monday, 6 December 2021 (YJC)_ The head of Hezbollah's executive council said in a speech that if some people thought they could weaken the resistance through a siege or elections or sanctions, they would be ignorant.

Hezbollah: Some think siege or sanctions could weaken resistanceHezbollah's executive council chairman, Sayyid Hashim Safi al-Din, said in a speech that the "other side in Lebanon" that has abandoned its homeland and wants to take its country hostage abroad can not achieve anything or solve economic problems.

According to Al-Manar, he continued:
If some people think that they can weaken this resistance through siege or elections or sanctions, I tell them you are ignorant ... You do not read our history and you do not know our truth and until today you have discovered the secret of power in resistance and our existence. Because the secret of our strength lies in our faith and trust in God.

Sheikh Safi al-Din then clarified:
The other side in Lebanon wants to normalize relations, and we emphasize that this project will not be implemented. They are making bad choices and are ready to normalize relationships. Anyone else tell him that is wrong. Because this Lebanese team, which is conspiring against the resistance, wants to normalize relations, and it may want more. They want to tell us that the normalization of relations (of examples) is Arabism and resistance is outside of Arabia, and that is a wonder.

Referring to the victories of the resistance, he stressed that the path of resistance against the Zionist enemy continues.

Safia al-Din then referred to the increase in martyrdom operations inside the Palestinian territories and said:
Blessed are these efforts, the blood, the sacrifices and the gangs that struck the Zionists and are ready to inflict more damage on this enemy every day.
