Iraqi sources reported this morning (Friday) that 12 people had been killed in an attack by ISIS elements in the Qarjugh area of Makhmur district in Iraq's northern Ninawa province.
The Zagros news website quoted a Peshmerga officer as saying that ISIS elements tried to attack the village of Lahiban in northern Iraq at 7pm local time last night; But their movements were detected by thermal cameras, and the locals managed to confront them and force them to retreat.
The news site added that at 21:45 on Thursday evening, ISIS terrorists attacked again, this time targeting the Kurdish village of Khedrjijeh, where most of the residents are farmers and ranchers.
According to the report, ISIS terrorists are shooting at civilians in the village, including women and children, and at the same time, Peshmerga forces are taking action against them.
Zagros added that the clash resulted in the death of one Peshmerga soldier and three other civilians, including a child.
