Friday, 3 December 2021 (YJC)_ The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran expressed his condolences to the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the death of a group of border guards in a helicopter crash.
Following the crash of a military helicopter of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the death of 14 border guards of the country, including several officers, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran sent a message to General Karim Valiyev Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces And the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, General Zakir Hasanov, expressed his condolences.
In the message of the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, expressing regret and sympathy for this incident and wishing health to the injured, we ask God Almighty for divine mercy for the dead and patience for the victims.
The State Border Services Command of Azerbaijan announced in a statement issued last Tuesday that 14 members of the Azerbaijani army were killed and two others were wounded when a military helicopter crashed in the Qarahibat air training area.
