Wednesday, 1 December 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian ambassador in Vienna announced that Bagheri had met with the Austrian Foreign Minister and mentioned that the talks on the Vienna talks and the strengthening of bilateral and multilateral relations were among the topics of the talks.
Ali Bagheri Kani, Iran's chief negotiator, who is in Vienna to attend a meeting of the Joint Commission to lift sanctions, met with Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Linhart on Wednesday following diplomatic consultations.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of bilateral and international relations, as well as the Vienna talks aimed at lifting sanctions.
As the host of these talks, Austria naturally wants to conclude this diplomatic process and reach a final agreement to add another page to its history of hosting important and historic international talks.
The third day of the Vienna talks will be followed today (Wednesday) as the prospects for continuing talks on the lifting of sanctions are set to be determined after two days of talks on key issues.
A few minutes before the meeting of the working group on nuclear issues at the level of experts and with the presence of representatives of Iran, the P4 + 1 and the European Union began at the Coburg Hotel in Vienna. The meeting began with an agreement reached last Monday between senior negotiators and members of the body.
At the same time, the Iranian delegation is holding expert meetings on the issue of lifting sanctions. Yesterday, in a meeting of the working group on lifting sanctions, the experts of our country, with the presence of representatives of Iran, the P4 + 1 group and the European Union, explained the views of the Islamic Republic of Iran and presented new proposals on how to advance the talks.
The representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran reiterated Tehran's basic position on the need for effective lifting of sanctions against the Iranian people and encouraged other members to participate constructively in the talks.
