Tuesday, 30 November 2021 (YJC)_ The top Iranian negotiator has held a meeting with the EU coordinator.
Deputy Foreign Affairs and head of the Iranian negotiating team, Ali Bagheri Kani held a meeting with Enrique Mora, EU coordinator, on Tuesday afternoon in the Coburg Hotel in Vienna.
Coordinating arrangements for further talks in the coming days was the aim of the meeting according to the IRIB correspondent.
The meeting between the EU and the Iranian diplomat comes a day after Iran and the P4+1 (the remaining parties to the JCPOA) held the first round of the new talks in Vienna.
Prior to this, while speaking to reporters after yesterday's Vienna talks, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani, said the previous rounds of Vienna talks were only a “draft”.
“In Tuesday's working group on the removal of sanctions, we will discuss what guarantees Iran seeks from the European and American sides,” Iranian top negotiator said.
Finally, he noted that “Oppressive and illegal sanctions will be on the agenda of today's working group,” and added “we are optimistic about the future as Iranian team are serious and ready to reach an agreement.”
