Monday, 29 November 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman blasted a joint article by the Zionist regime and UK and said they are looking for prolonging the JCPOA talks.
In a press conference in Tehran on Monday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh blasted a joint article by the Zionist regime and UK and said they are looking for prolonging the JCPOA talks.
He reacted to the joint article written by British and Israeli foreign ministers Liz Truss and Yair Lapid in the Telegraph newspaper on Sunday and said “Releasing such article just before the Vienna talks shows nothing but the unwillingness of certain European countries to lift sanctions.”
He went on to say that “This show these countries are not serious and are after prolonging these negotiations and preventing the effective implementation of the nuclear deal.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, he pointed out the Zionist regime aim to disrupt the Vienna talks and said “it is quite clear to all of us that the goal of the Zionist regime is to disrupt the agreement. This regime has hundreds of nuclear warheads and does not respect international monitoring systems; therefore, it cannot comment on Iran's peaceful nuclear program.”
Khatibzadeh also said Iran is serious in removing sanctions and said Tehran has several choices if faced with Washington’s old policies.
He went on to say that Vienna talks would be fruitful only if other parties come there with the same determination.
Khatibzadeh, finally, announced that “no bilateral talks between Iran and the US will take place in Vienna.”
