Sunday, 28 November 2021 (YJC)_ Bilateral and trilateral meetings in Vienna were held between Iran's negotiators and Russia, China as well as the EU.
The acting head of Iran's Mission in the IAEA Board of Governors Mohammad Reza Ghaebithe announced that Iran's negotiating team held bilateral and trilateral meetings in Vienna on Sunday with the diplomatic delegations of Russia, China as well as the EU.
“Iranian negotiators arrived in Vienna on Sunday and held meeting with the heads of the Russian and Chinese negotiating teams, as well as the EU Coordinator Enrique Mora,” Ghaebithe said.
Last night, Russia's Permanent Representative for Vienna-based International Organizations Mikhail Ulyanov said in a tweet that informal bilateral consultations had begun between Iran and P4+1 in preparation for the Monday meeting.
The Iranian diplomatic delegation is led by deputy foreign minister Ali Bagheri Kani.
Last night, it was announced that the top Iranian negotiator deputy foreign minister Ali Bagheri Kani has arrived in Vienna, Austria to discuss the removal of the illegal sanctions.
Prior to that, in an interview with Independent, he said “the talks will fail if all sanctions are not lifted.”
