In a statement, the State Department welcomed Australia's intention to include Lebanon's Hezbollah in the list of so-called "terrorist" organizations.
The Australian government announced on Wednesday morning (November 24th) that it had listed the entire Lebanese Hezbollah group as a "terrorist" organization, following pressure from the Zionist regime.
State Department spokesman Ned Price said in a statement:
We welcome Australia's intention to declare Hezbollah a terrorist organization under its criminal law.
Reiterating the unsubstantiated allegations against Hezbollah, a State Department spokesman called the separation of the Lebanese influential Lebanese militant group from other branches of the organization "wrong" and called Australia's move to declare all parts of Hezbollah "an important step forward."
