Saturday, 27 November 2021 (YJC)_ On the sidelines of the 143rd session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the Vice President of the Islamic Consultative Assembly met with the President of the Spanish Congress, Michelle Butt.
On the sidelines of the 143rd session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Ali Nikzad met with the President of the Spanish Congress, Michel Butt, to discuss the expansion of parliamentary relations and the deepening of relations between the two countries.
According to the report, given the importance of Spain in the European Union and the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region, the two sides stressed the need for cooperation and mutual consultation on various regional and global issues.
During the meeting, the Vice President of the Islamic Consultative Assembly stressed the need to preserve Europe's independence in various international issues, and expressed hope that Spain, as an EU member state, would play a role in advancing the nuclear negotiation process.
The President of the Spanish House of Representatives also thanked Iran for its constructive cooperation in expelling Afghan nationals from Afghanistan.
