FM: West must adopt constructive approach in Vienna talksIn a telephone conversation with EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said the two sides should adopt constructive approach in JCPOA talks.

“A good and even immediate agreement can be reached in Vienna talks in case other parties are ready to return to full commitments and lift sanctions,” he said while noting that “Iran wants a good and verifiable agreement, the Iranian negotiators will attend the Vienna talks seriously and in good faith though US and EU failed to fulfill their commitments under the agreement.”

“The Western side must adopt a new and constructive approach in the Vienna talks,” he said while requesting a strong and sufficient guarantee that the United States will not withdraw the JCPOA again.

He went on to appreciate Borrell’s effort in Vienna talks, and announce that “all the issues that need to be resolved are being considered by the Iranian negotiating team.”
