Tehran representative to Majlis Qolamali Haddad Adel pointed to the Saudi Arabian court’s death sentence for Sheik Nimr as well as a terror attack on Shiite mourners last week in Saudi Arabia said "Saudi Arabia has spread a virus in the region which will infect the country itself too.”
"The fire which they have set up will eventually burn them.”
In answer to a question regarding the Obama administration in the US after Republicans won majority in the Senate and the ongoing US-Iran negotiations on the latter’s nuclear program, Haddad stated "Obama has maintained that in case an agreement is reached, Republicans can be convinced. He is planning to make up for his defeat by such talks and by reaching the agreement.”
The lawmaker added "Besides the negotiations with Iran, Obama lacks any other winning card in his sleeve. This is the only card which he can play against the criticism that is directed at him and the defeat he suffered in Senate elections.”
