Thursday, 25 November 2021 (YJC)_Referring to the recent military conflict in Caucasus region, Iranian Foreign minister called for restraint and respect for territorial integrity.
In a telephone conversation with his Armenian counterpart, Ararat Mirzoyan, Iranian Foreign minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian voiced concern about the recent military conflict in Caucasus region and called for restraint and respect for territorial integrity.
“Bilateral relations, economic cooperation between the two countries and Joint Economic Commission, Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit, and regional and international developments” were among issues discussed during this phone talk.
Amir-Abdollahian said the ties between two countries is ‘solid and moving forward’ and urged them for expansion and development of bilateral relations in various fields.
He went on to express satisfaction with the growing trend of relations between the two countries in recent months and noting that “it is important to focus on political and economic fields.”
For his part, the Armenian side pointed to the suggested roadmap for relations between Iran and Armenia and announced that “Armenia is prepared to hold a joint economic commission and expand trade relations with Iran,” while inviting Iranian counterpart to visit Armenia.
