The Moroccan government suppressed anti-Israel protestsThe people of Morocco gathered in front of the parliament on Wednesday night (last night) to protest the visit of the Israeli Minister of War "Bani Gantz" to their country.

Demonstrators holding Palestinian flags chanted slogans in support of the Palestinian cause and against the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime.

Moroccan police also cracked down on protesters, forcing them to disperse.

The demonstrators also called Gantz a "war criminal" and described his visit to Morocco as a stigma and a great betrayal of the blood of the martyrs and children of the Palestinian people.

According to the website "Arabi 21", the participants in the demonstration stressed that welcoming Gantz is an insult to Morocco and its history, which has always supported the Palestinian people.

In this regard, the Jamaat-e-Adl and Al-Ehsan group in Morocco condemned the reception of Gantz in Morocco and the obstruction of the police from holding demonstrations in front of the parliament.

The group said in a statement that the demonstrations, which took place at the invitation of the Moroccan Front to support Palestine and oppose the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime, were met with repression by police and the use of force to disperse the protests.

The demonstration was attended by Palestinian lawyers and supporters, as well as members of the media.
