Wednesday, 24 November 2021 (YJC)_ in a meeting with Director-General of IAEA, Iranian Foreign Minister urged this international organization not to succumb to outside pressures.
In his remarks during a meeting with Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian urged this international organization not to succumb to outside pressures.
“Iran is serious to to engage with the IAEA constructively and under the Safeguards Agreement,” he said while expressing the hope that mutual trust and cooperation would be further strengthened during Grossi's visit.
He went on to emphasis the need for the Agency to ignore foreign political pressures and referred to the the importance of IAEA's technical, professional, and impartial work.
For his part during the meeting, Rafael Grossi underlined the fact that IAEA has the technical, professional, and impartial approach, and noted that his visit as a sign of the tendency toward talks and mutual understandings, resolving issues, and enhancing cooperation with Iran.
He also said that IAEA is prepared to resolve the remaining issues in the coming months.
