Wednesday, 24 November 2021 (YJC)_ The Turkish lira, which fell 15 percent yesterday, fell 3 percent today, trading at 13.15 lira per dollar.

Turkish lira continues to fall 3% todayFollowing concerns about rising inflation and other economic consequences, the Turkish lira fell again today, setting a new record for the national currency.

The lira fell 15 percent yesterday after the Turkish president defended his economic policies and recent cuts in bank interest rates.

At present, each dollar has reached 13.15 lira, which is a new record in the devaluation of this currency.

The lira reached its lowest level in the currency yesterday, trading at $ 13.45 per dollar.

The Turkish lira has lost 43% of its value since the beginning of this year and about 24% since the beginning of last week.

Despite Erdogan defending the monetary policy of the Turkish Central Bank and pledging to win his "war of independence", there has been widespread criticism from leading economists.

According to Fars, the devaluation of the lira took place yesterday following the Turkish president's remarks about the increase in the exchange rate in this country.

Speaking at the cabinet meeting, he said:
We are determined to do whatever is right for our country through investment, production, job creation, and Turkey's economic policy is based on exports. As a government with the knowledge and experience to manage financial crises, we are determined to seize the opportunity of the crisis in which the world finds itself.
