Wednesday, 24 November 2021 (YJC)_ The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran will travel to Ashgabat at the official invitation of his Turkmen counterpart to attend the 15th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
Hojatoleslam Seyyed Ibrahim Raeisi will leave for Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, on Saturday at the invitation of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov to head a high-level political and economic delegation.
The President attended and addressed the summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), explained the positions and proposals of the Islamic Republic of Iran in strengthening regional and international relations, especially removing obstacles and increasing the level of cooperation and economic exchanges of ECO member countries. And will explain.
During this trip, Raeisi will also meet with his counterparts participating in the summit and discuss ways to develop and deepen bilateral relations.
Meeting with businessmen and Iranians living in Turkmenistan is another program of the president's visit.
The Islamic Republic of Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan are 10 members of the ECO.
