Tuesday, 23 November 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman congratulated Venezuelan people and government their successful election.
In a statement on Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh congratulated Venezuelan people and government their successful election.
“We congratulate the people, the brotherly government of Venezuela successful and transparent regional and municipal elections, in which more than 70,000 candidates participated,” he said while referring to the election as a symbol of democracy and the unity of the people and the government to build a better future for Venezuela.
He, finally, noted that “Iran fully supports Venezuela.
On 21 November 2021, regional and municipal elections were held in Venezuela. In the elections, all executive and legislative positions of the 23 federal entities, as well as that of the 335 municipalities of the country, were renewed.
Prior to this election, Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro had urged people to participate in it.
