Tuesday, 23 November 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry spox announced that 5,144 new Covid-19 cases has been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Tuesday that 5,144 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 762 of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 5,144 COVID-19 infections and 132 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 6,088,009.”
132 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 129,185,” the ministry added.
“3,386 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 5,807,089 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
“37,996,904 coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country,” the ministry added while announcing “8 cities are rated red, 58 cities are orange, 236 cities are yellow, and 146 cities are blue.”
According to the latest figures, more than 258,591,107 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing 5,178,605 and recoveries amounting to 234,067,943.
