Monday, 22 November 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman criticized the US officials for their anti-Iran comments and provoking regional states to turn against Iran in order to sell arms to them.
In a press conference in Tehran on Monday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh blasted the US officials for their anti-Iran comments in Manama conference and provoking regional states to turn against Iran in order to sell arms to them.
He referred to the statements by US officials he said “These US officials are sending expensive bills to some regional states, that is the only interpretation of their remarks, it is possible that they are doing son in order to sell more weapons.”
Khatibzadeh urged the regional states not to fall in the US trap and said that “the money that is spent by these governments for the US desire, should be for the people living in these countries.”
Addressing the Manama Dialogue conference in Bahrain, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin reiterated his country’s commitment to confronting Iran.
Also, in a separate remark, the Pentagon chief claimed that US is “committed to a diplomatic outcome of the nuclear issue”.
