Monday, 22 November 2021 (YJC)_ Commander of the IRGC Navy warned enemies that the Iranian naval forces will act against any entry into the Iranian waters.
Addressing a local ceremony held in Southwestern city of Abadan, commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri warned enemies that the Iranian naval forces will act against any entry into the Iranian waters.
Referring to the recent encounter between Iranian and US forces in Iran’s Southern waters, the Iranian commander said that “The Naval forces are fully prepared and have vowed not to allow enemies to enter or violate Iran's territorial waters.”
He went on to add that “Iranian forces are there with just 3 boats to prevent enemies from stealing the country's oil.”
In a relevant remark last month, Head of Iranian Passive Defense Organization Brigadier General Gholamreza Jalali praised the recent bravery of IRGC navy forces and said that they showed the decline on the US to the world.
Prior to that, it has been announced that a successful operation near the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait has been conucted by Iranian naval forces on Monday morning, to thwart a pirate attack on one of the country’s oil tankers.
Pirates en route to the Gulf of Aden were targeted by the escort team of the Iranian Army's Navy before entering the Bab al-Mandeb Strait. Four suspect boats carrying 4 to 6 armed pirates intended to attack and approach the tanker, but the escort team forced them to flee the scene.
