Khatibzaeh: Upcoming Vienna Talks to be Focused on Lifting Sanctions against Iran

Monday, 22 November 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian foreign ministry said that in the next session of JCPOA talks the focus will be on lifting the sanctions against Iran.

Khatibzaeh: Upcoming Vienna Talks to be Focused on Lifting Sanctions against IranIn a press conference in Tehran on Monday, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said that in the next session of JCPOA talks the focus will be on lifting the sanctions against Iran.

“Iran’s concentration in the Vienna talks will be on lifting sanctions,” he said while adding that “The Iranian negotiating team will participate in JCPOA talks with the aim of lifting sanctions to reach a practical and comprehensive agreement.”

Referring to the meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency and its impact on the Vienna talks, he said “Iran and the IAEA have always tried their best to make that their relations technical and within the framework of safeguards and procedures of the Agency.”

He continued to say that “IAEA Director-General Rafael Grossi will travel to Tehran, we hope this trip will be as constructive as before; however, the agency is aware of the impact of the Zionist regime’s acts of sabotage.”

Earlier this months, Spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi announced that Time and date of The Director-General of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Mariano Grossi’s arrival to Tehran.

Prior to that, this visit was announced by Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh.
