Iran, Azerbaijan Underlined the Need to Expand Transportation Cooperation

Wednesday, 17 November 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian experts’ delegation and their Azerbaijani counterparts agreed and underlined the need to expand their cooperation in the field of transportation.

Iran, Azerbaijan Underlined the Need to Expand Transportation CooperationThe ways for road transportations’ cooperation between Iran and Azerbaijan and facilitating it for the two nations is reviewed by the Iranian experts’ delegation, headed by Managing Director of Transit Office of the Iran Roads and Transportations Organization Javad Hedayati, in an expert commission which was held on Tuesday.

“The difficulties and the obstacles in the way of expansion of commercial and roads transportations between Iran and Azerbaijan Republic” were among the issues discussed in this session.

“Design and initiate new plans in collaboration with our colleagues from Azerbaijan Republic is in our agenda,” Javad Hedayati said while adding that “In order to facilitate the road transportation between the two countries, projects will be defined in a goal-oriented method.”

For his part, the head of the Azerbaijan Republic state office for roads and transportations services Anar Rezayev, also put emphasis on the importance of increasing cooperation for further facilitating transportations between the two countries.

He referred to the old ties between Iran and Azerbaijan Republic and said that “They are playing the role of a good platform for comprehensive cooperation.”

“4 formal border crossings along the 750 km-long border are the unique features for mutual cooperation,” he added.
