Wednesday, 17 November 2021 (YJC)_ The seventh meeting of the Foreign Economic Relations Coordination Headquarters was held with the agenda of reviewing the latest status of economic relations with Iraq, chaired by the Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy.
According to the new government's approach to developing economic relations with neighbors, the seventh meeting of the Foreign Economic Relations Coordination Headquarters this year with the agenda of "reviewing the latest state of economic relations with Iraq" in the presence of staff headed by "Mehdi Safari" Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy The Islamic Republic of Iran was held.
In this meeting, the Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy presented a report on his recent visits to Baghdad and Iraqi Kurdistan, with the aim of identifying and removing obstacles to the development of economic relations and explaining the conditions governing bilateral relations, the possibility of developing trade between the two countries. The two countries stressed up to twice the volume of current exchanges, provided that the existing border problems are resolved.
The delegates present at the meeting presented their comments and suggestions for the final conclusion of the Foreign Economic Relations Coordination Headquarters.
The Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran met with "Bafel Talabani" and a number of members of the leadership council of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan during a visit to the Iraqi Kurdistan region in Sulaimaniyah on Sunday, November 7th.
