Wednesday, 17 November 2021 (YJC)_ On the eve of the ECO Summit, Khosrow Nazeri, Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), met with Mehdi Safari, Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy.
On the eve of the ECO Summit, Khosrow Nazeri, Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), met with Mehdi Safari, Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy.
During the meeting, the Secretary General of ECO presented a report on the process of preparation for the ECO Summit in Ashgabat and thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for its assistance in this regard.
Safari also considered the expansion of economic and trade cooperation with neighbors as a priority of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and emphasized the role of ECO in achieving the goals of member countries.
He considered the presence of our country's high-level delegation at the forthcoming ECO summit in Turkmenistan as a sign of the importance and prominent position of ECO and noted:
The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to take the lead in implementing the important decisions that will be taken by the regional leaders at the ECO meeting in Ashgabat.
