Tuesday, 16 November 2021 (YJC)_ The representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan in a meeting with the Taliban Foreign Minister said that Iran and Afghanistan have a strong history and historical ties and the Islamic Republic of Iran will not leave the Afghan people alone under any circumstances.

During the meeting, which began at the Taliban Foreign Ministry, the Iranian president's representative for Afghanistan said: "Iran and Afghanistan have a strong historical background and relations, and the Islamic Republic of Iran will not leave the Afghan people alone under any circumstances."

At the beginning of the meeting, Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Mottaqi, referring to the problems that Afghanistan is facing these days, expressed hope that these problems will be resolved soon.

Hassan Kazemi Qomi arrived in Kabul yesterday and is scheduled to meet with Taliban leaders during his three-day visit.

He said at Kabul airport that some countries were using the name of terrorism to launch a proxy war in Afghanistan.

Kazemi Qomi added:
We will review what has happened in Afghanistan to see how a new coordination between countries can emerge on Afghanistan.

Iran's representative for Afghanistan also said that Iran respects the demands of the Afghan people.
