Gen. Salami: Iranian Naval Forces are Equipped with New Marine Technologies

Sunday, 14 November 2021 (YJC)_An IRGC commander announced that the Iranian naval forces are equipped with the state-of-the-art marine technologies.

Salami: Iranian Naval Forces are Equipped with New Marine TechnologiesDuring his visit to the centers and units stationed at Imam Khamenei Naval Sciences and Technologies University, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami described the submarines as the “fluid infrastructure” of the country’s naval power and announced that the Iranian naval forces are equipped with the state-of-the-art marine technologies.

“We are in possession of the new marine technologies,” he announced while adding that “Increasing our power is not stopped, we will not allow anyone to interfere in our country’s affairs, that’s the message that everyone should be aware of.”

He went on to call submarines as the “fluid infrastructure” of the country’s naval power and added “In order to increase the quality of the combat vessels, we possess such technology as they are precise and correct.”

Last month, Major General Hossein Salami announced that the IRGC's Naval Forces will be armed with 2,000-KM-Range Cruise Missiles and said “Considerable progress in development and manufacture of unmanned aerial vehicles has been seen among navy section of IRGC. Hundreds of reconnaissance, surveillance, combat and kamikaze drones with different operational ranges of up to 1,200 kilometers (745 miles) in now used in this section.”

Also, in a separate remark, Head of Iranian Passive Defense Organization, Brigadier General Gholamreza Jalali referred to the recent attempt by the US to steal Iranian oil tanker in the Sea of Oman, praised the recent bravery of IRGC navy forces and said that they showed the decline on the US to the world.
