Republican Sen. Ted Cruz tweeted in response to Bloomberg News quoting Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri as saying that Iran wants the United States to ensure that it does not withdraw from the 2015 nuclear deal.
He wrote in this regard:
Despite their (Iranian) dreams, according to the constitution (US), the only way to make it happen (to ensure that the US does not withdraw from the agreement again) is to present it (JCPOA) as a treaty for Senate approval ... which Biden is afraid to do it.
According to Bloomberg, Ali Bagheri, who is leading the Iranian negotiating team in the talks scheduled for November 29 in Vienna after a four-month hiatus, said in a statement in London about the guarantee:
This is one of the issues that has not been resolved in the past. In the new negotiations, this is one of the main tasks.
