Friday, 12 November 2021 (YJC)_ Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said that Iran and Russia’s cooperation will lead to more stability in the region.
In a meeting with his Russian counterpart Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani said that Iran and Russia’s cooperation will lead to more stability in the region.
“To get out of this critical condition we should put an end to the intervention of trans-regional countries, in particular, the US, and enhance ties among regional countries so that we can achieve indigenous solution to the crisis,’ he said.
Shamkhani went on to urge the development of the relation between Iran and Russia and said that “A key role in regional stability is played by the enhancement of ties between Iran and Russia, especially in the fields of security.”
He, then, referred to the recent developments in the neighboring Afghanistan, put emphasis on the need for the formation of an all-inclusive government there and added “The solution to the crisis that Afghanistan is facing is the continuation of intra-Afghan dialogue and the formation of an inclusive government based on the demographic realities in Afghanistan.”
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the third edition of the Delhi Regional Security Dialogue on Afghanistan.
