Moscow: US threatens stability in Eastern EuropeThe Russian Ministry of Defense announced the identification and interception of six spy planes belonging to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in the Black Sea airspace.

According to the RIA Novosti website, the Russian Ministry of Defense explained in a statement:
US military activity in the Black Sea is aggressive and militant, threatening regional stability.

The statement said:
The number of spy flights by NATO member states near the borders of the Russian Federation in the Black Sea continues to increase. In the last twenty-four hours, our planes intercepted six NATO planes over the Black Sea.

According to the report, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated:
In the central and northwestern regions of the Black Sea, three US Navy P-8A patrol aircraft flew from an air base on the island of Sicily (Italy) as well as a C-160G reconnaissance aircraft. French Air Force planes also took off from a base on Romanian soil. In addition, an American RC-135 aircraft from the island of Crete and a US-2S from Cyprus were spotted near Russia's air border.

According to RIA Novosti, the ministry also added:
The Porter destroyer, the US Navy's Mont Whitney command post and the US Navy tanker John Lental are in the southwestern part of the Black Sea after crossing the port of Batumi in Georgia and head west.
