Friday, 12 November 2021 (YJC)_ The former US Secretary of State has called for preventing Iran from joining the international community.
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has called on the current administration to prevent Iran from joining the international community.
In an interview with the Zionist newspaper JNS, the former US Secretary of State criticized the plan of US President Joe Biden to join the JCPOA.
He said:
What this government is doing to Iran is really dangerous. If they (the Biden government) return to the agreement, it will provide resources and money to a government that has clearly stated its goals.
Pompeo went on to make his unsubstantiated allegations:
We should not interact with the regime in this way. We should not fund and support them and seek to integrate these people into the global space.
Pompeo was one of the key officials of the Trump era who paved the way for the US withdrawal from the JCPOA and devised a policy of maximum pressure against Iran.
