Wednesday, 10 November 2021 (YJC)_ Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN said the Israeli atomic weapons are a threat to the region.
Addressing the UN Scientific Committee on Effects of Atomic Radiation, Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Majid Takht Ravanchi said the Israeli atomic weapons are a threat to the region.
He stressed the need for the international community to pressure the Zionist regime, blasted the regime for refusing to join the Nuclear Non-proliferation treaty (NPT) and said “Tel Aviv is trying to avert global attention from its own nuclear activities and arsenal.”
Takht Ravanchi went on to describe Israeli’s nuclear weapons as a threat to the region, noted that “This regime has a long history of aggression and crime against Palestinians and violated hundreds of UN resolutions.”
“Zionist regime does not abide by the rules and regulations prohibiting the production, development and stockpiling of weapons of mass destruction, it also destabilizing the region by its weapons, therefore, the world must be fully aware of Israel's illegal actions and threats to regional peace and security,” he added.
So far, neither IAEA nor UN have taken the Zionist regime accountable for its illegal activities aimed at endangering the regional and international peace and security.
This regime, which is the only nuclear arms possessor in the region, has assassinated seven Iranian nuclear scientists.
