Wednesday, 10 November 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Parliament appreciated IRGC Navy forces for blocking the attempt by US forces to steal Iranian oil tanker in the Sea of Oman.
Iranian Parliament's member released a statement on Wednesday and appreciated IRGC Navy forces for thwarting the attempt by US forces to steal Iranian oil tanker in the Sea of Oman.
“The timely action of the IRGC Navy forces to block the terrorist act of US’ army to steal Iran’s oil tanker showed the authority of the country's armed forces. Also, our enemies understand that Iranians were not afraid of anyone in defense of their national interests,” the statement reads.
Previously, it has been announced that a successful operation near the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait has been conucted by Iranian naval forces on Monday morning, to thwart a pirate attack on one of the country’s oil tankers.
Pirates en route to the Gulf of Aden were targeted by the escort team of the Iranian Army's Navy before entering the Bab al-Mandeb Strait. Four suspect boats carrying 4 to 6 armed pirates intended to attack and approach the tanker, but the escort team forced them to flee the scene.
Also, last week Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oji hailed the recent protection of the Iranian tanker by IRGC navy forces which saved the tanker from US pirates and said that “The enemies resorted to one of their old ways to show animosity towards the Iranian nation; however, braveness of the IRGC forces foiled their plot.”
