Wednesday, 10 November 2021 (YJC)_ The head of the International Affairs Committee of the Russian State Duma said during a meeting with the Iranian ambassador that the Islamic Republic is a strategic friend of the country in the region.
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation, Kazem Jalali, met with Leonid Slotsky, Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Russian State Duma, yesterday (Tuesday, November 9).
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation, and stressed the need to further strengthen and expand relations between Tehran and Moscow in all fields.
In this meeting, Slotsky mentioned the Islamic Republic of Iran as a strategic friend of Russia in the region.
Jalali also stressed the Iranian government's serious determination to develop relations with Russia.
At the end of the meeting, Jalali and Slotsky expressed their desire to continue their contacts and consultations on issues of mutual interest.
