Wednesday, 10 November 2021 (YJC)_ The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council said at the third meeting of the Regional Security Dialogue in India that the United States had acted deceptively even in the matter of peace in Afghanistan.

Shamkhani: The United States has been deceitful even on the issue of peace in AfghanistanAli Shamkhani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and representative of the Supreme Leader, who is attending the third session of the Regional Security Dialogue in New Delhi, said this morning (Wednesday):
We have always emphasized that peace is the common will of the people and tribes of Afghanistan, but the important point that everyone should pay attention to is that the United States has been deceitful even in the matter of peace in Afghanistan.

He added:
Despite pretending to bring peace to Afghanistan, the United States had no plans to do so, and its only goal was to get rid of the self-made catastrophe that plagued Afghanistan, the region, and the world because of its arrogant and self-righteous temperament.

Shamkhani outlined solutions to the Afghan problem and stressed the need for a concerted effort to establish an inclusive, multi-ethnic government in Afghanistan and to address the humanitarian crisis in the country.

He said:
The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to provide all its facilities, such as communication routes and port facilities, including Chabahar, to solve this problem.

The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council noted:
Afghanistan today is facing terrorism, poverty crisis and migration crisis.

Representatives from Iran, Russia, India, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan are attending the meeting and are scheduled to meet with the Indian Prime Minister.

Shamkhani is also scheduled to meet with Indian and Russian national security advisers.
