Al-Qabas newspaper quoted informed sources as saying that eight other people were arrested in the country on charges of supporting Hezbollah, bringing the total number of recent detainees to 16 on the same charges.
A judicial team is interrogating the suspects and another team from the government's security apparatus is closely following the investigation, the report said.
Al-Qabas added:
The telephone conversations of the defendants, who were initially detained inside a building affiliated with a charity, have led to the arrest of new defendants.
The newspaper added:
The source of the property handed over, as well as the property held by the defendants, and who donated the property or whether there was intentional support for Hezbollah will be investigated.
Two days ago (November 7), Kuwait arrested eight of its citizens who have been members of a charitable committee in the country for 30 years, claiming to support Hezbollah.
