Tuesday, 9 November 2021 (YJC)_ Following the anti-Iranian stance of the Colombian Minister of Defense during his visit to the occupied territories, the President of this country emphasized on maintaining Bogota's diplomatic relations with Tehran.

According to the Info Bae news website, Diego Moulano claimed during a visit to Tel Aviv on Monday to discuss security issues that Colombia and Israel have common enemies. He specifically mentioned Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon and their actions against Tel Aviv, as well as their support for the Venezuelan government.

In a meeting with Israeli War Minister Benny Gantz, Rumi stressed the need to increase the development of military cooperation and the exchange of information between the two sides.

The report further added:
Following the remarks of the Colombian Minister of Defense, the President of this country, in an action to reject the position of his Minister of Defense against Iran, emphasized on maintaining diplomatic relations between Tehran and Bogota.

Ivan Dokeh added:
Colombia maintains relations with Tehran, but at the same time it is clear about what is called the terrorist threat, and we will examine the nature of their relations with any country that has diplomatic relations with some groups that may have a terrorist background.
