Saturday, 6 November 2021 (YJC)_ The Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan said that the country is interested in developing relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and that there is a lot of cooperation between the two countries.
"We are interested in developing relations with Iran and there is a lot of cooperation between the two countries," Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told IRIB news agency.
The Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan also stated about the future of relations between the two countries:
I can say that due to the many commonalities between the two countries, there are many plans for bilateral cooperation.
He added:
I am confident that we can develop the good relations of the past on the basis of good neighborliness.
Emphasizing the continuation of diplomatic talks between the officials of the Foreign Ministries of the two countries, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan said:
We are pleased with the formal and informal diplomatic conversations of recent weeks, and with the telephone conversations of my esteemed colleague (Amir-Abdollahian), we believe that some issues can be resolved.
He added:
Disagreements between all countries are possible and no country is an exception to this rule and may even be between neighboring countries, but our close relations and neighborhood with Iran have shown that some of these differences can be resolved through dialogue.
Referring to the need to develop relations between the two countries, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jihun Bayramov said:
The priority of the foreign policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan is to maintain and develop relations with neighboring countries, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran.
