Friday, 5 November 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry spox announced that 8,633 new Covid-19 cases has been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Friday that 8,633 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 1,163 of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 8,633 COVID-19 infections and 132 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 5,973,457.”
132 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 127,053,” the ministry added.
“3,732 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 5,574,246 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
The ministry also added that more than 36,057,315 coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country while warning that “29 cities are rated red, 112 cities are orange, 221 cities are yellow, and 86 cities are blue.”
According to the latest figures, more than 249,633,651 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing 5,049,391 and recoveries amounting to 226,022,072.
