Friday, 5 November 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Energy Minister announced that, within four years, 30K megawatts of electricity will be added to the current capacity of the country’s power generation network.
Iranian Energy Minister Ali Akbar Mehrabian announced that, within four years, 30K megawatts of electricity will be added to the current capacity of the country’s power generation network.
“New thermal power plants will generate 10K megawatts while the second 10,000 megawatts will be generated via investment in power generation industry and renewable power plants would be the source for the third part,” he said.
“The Iranian Energy Ministry has signed a memorandum of understanding with industries to construct new power plants,” he also announced.
“Two main strategies of the Ministry of Energy are development of power plants aimed at increasing power generation and managing consumption of electricity so that we can provide the county with required electricity,” Mehrabian added.
Previously, in April, it was announced that Iran’s power plants capacity has grown 12-fold since the beginning of the Islamic Revolution.
