Friday, 5 November 2021 (YJC)_ Atomic Energy Organization of Iran spokesman announced that the country exceeded 210 kilograms from 20% enriched uranium stockpile.

AEOI spox.: 20% Enriched Uranium Stockpile Exceeds 210 kgAtomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi announced that 20% enriched uranium stockpile exceeded 210 kilograms.

“Strategic Action Plan to Counter Sanctions and Protect Rights of the People" law allowed us to produce 120 kg of 20% enriched uranium; however, now we have exceeded 210 kg,” Kamalvandi said.

“25 kg of 60% enriched uranium is produced so far, no country is able to produce this amount except the ones with nuclear weapons,” he added.

The Iranian Parliament passed the Law on "Strategic Action Plan to Counter Sanctions and Protect Rights of the People" in December 2020, in reaction to the indifference of the JCPOA parties to continued US violations of the treaty.

As a result of this law, the Iranian administration started to put limitation on the IAEA’s inspections and also the development of the country’s nuclear program accelerated to reach the amount which is beyond the limits set by the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement.

Moreover, the level of uranium enrichment has increased beyond the level allowed under the JCPOA in accordance with the accord itself.

Late on Wednesday, it has been announced that the next round of talks aimed at removal of the US sanctions in Vienna will be held on November 29.

In reaction to that, Iranian President said that the Iranian side will not put aside the legitimate demands of its nations or what the lifting of oppressive sanctions and added “The negotiation is a result-oriented one; we will not wait for the negotiations results and we will work hard to neutralize the impact of the sanctions.”
