Thursday, 4 November 2021 (YJC)_Iranian President called for a result-oriented negotiations while also appreciating the bravery of IRGC’s naval forces for defeating US from stealing Iranian oil tanker.
Iranian president Ebrahim Raeisi reacted to the recent success of navy forces in defeating US pirates and also made remarks about next round of JCPOA talks in Vienna.
Last night, it has been announced that the next round of talks aimed at removal of the US sanctions in Vienna will be held on November 29.
President Raeisi said that the Iranian side will not put aside the legitimate demands of its nations or what the lifting of oppressive sanctions and added “The negotiation is a result-oriented one; we will not wait for the negotiations results and we will work hard to neutralize the impact of the sanctions.”
Iranian president also said that “we will not leave the JCPOA talks but will firmly stand against any excessive demands that lead to the loss of the interests of our nations.”
He went on to refer to the failed US act of piracy against an Iranian oil tanker in the Sea of Oman recently, appreciated the IRGC’s naval forces for their bravery and said “the bulling attitude of US intervention in the regions has been long condemned by Iranian nation, and it is vivid in the recent events.”
Previously on Monday, it has been announced that a successful operation near the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait has been conucted by Iranian naval forces on Monday morning, to thwart a pirate attack on one of the country’s oil tankers.
Pirates en route to the Gulf of Aden were targeted by the escort team of the Iranian Army's Navy before entering the Bab al-Mandeb Strait. Four suspect boats carrying 4 to 6 armed pirates intended to attack and approach the tanker, but the escort team forced them to flee the scene.
