Thursday, 4 November 2021 (YJC)_ The head of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Taliban interim government announced during a meeting with the Iranian ambassador in Kabul that a delegation had been sent to Tehran to investigate and address the problems of Afghan students in Iran.
Abdul Baqi Haqqani, Acting Minister of Higher Education of the Taliban interim government, met with Bahadur Aminian, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul, to discuss the removal of obstacles to the education of Afghan refugees in Iran.
The acting head of the Taliban Ministry of Higher Education said during the meeting:
A technical team travels to Iran to review Iran-Afghanistan bilateral cooperation, scholarships, education and the problems of Afghan immigrants in Iran.
Iranian Ambassador Bahador Aminian also said that he would cooperate fully with the technical team according to the priorities of the Afghan people and provide the team with his educational experiences.
The Taliban Minister of Education is sending a delegation to Iran to address the educational problems of Afghan refugees, as public universities in Afghanistan have not yet reopened.
Minian also met last Tuesday with the acting minister of information and culture of the interim Taliban government.
During the meeting, the development and strengthening of cultural relations between Afghanistan and Iran, media cooperation, awarding journalism scholarships, development of tourism industry, revival of cultural heritage, cooperation in the field of museums and preservation of antiquities and public libraries of Afghanistan were discussed.
