Wednesday, 3 November 2021 (YJC)_ Reacting to Blinken's remarks, a State Department spokesman tweeted that the threat against Iran had never been effective: America's hypothetical "options" have already been tested in our region.
Saeed Khatibzadeh, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, wrote in a tweet tonight (Tuesday) in response to Anthony Blinken's recent remarks about pursuing other options for Iran:
The threat against Iran has never been effective.
He added:
Hypothetical US "options" have already been tested in our region. The catastrophic failures that have resulted for the United States and the scandal that others must address are obvious to all.
A spokesman for the diplomatic corps said:
The United States, as the main factor in the current situation of the JCPOA, must learn a lesson.
